Are you a strategic thinker with a proven track record in operational leadership? We are looking for someone to join a rapidly growing tech-led company revolutionizing the interactive fitness and active fun markets. As their Operations Director, you'll drive the development of our their newly formed Operations Team, ensuring robust, scalable processes are in place to support their ambitious growth plans.
Based at their headquarters in Bodmin, Cornwall, you'll collaborate closely with Sales, Production, and HQ teams, alongside key partners and clients worldwide. This role offers the opportunity to shape our operational strategy, optimize systems, and spearhead excellence across procurement, quality assurance, project management, and production.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a scalable operations strategy to underpin significant business growth.
Team Development: Lead and inspire multidisciplinary teams across QA, planning, procurement, and service, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Operational Excellence: Oversee production planning, supplier development, and resource management to meet 30-40% annual demand growth.
Customer Focus: Lead the evolution of our service offering to support high-specification, cloud-based products, a growing installed base, and the transition to a subscription-based SaaS model.
Collaboration & Process Improvement: Work with senior management to streamline internal processes and drive cross-functional efficiency.
About You
You are a hands-on leader with exceptional communication and problem-solving skills, driven by operational excellence. With experience in fast-paced, growth-oriented organizations, you bring a strategic mindset to resource planning, quality management, and customer service. You're adept at managing complex relationships across suppliers, partners, and clients and thrive in environments that value collaboration and continuous improvement.
Qualifications include:
Demonstrable success leading multi-disciplinary teams and driving cross-functional initiatives.
Strategic planning expertise, delivering key projects on time and within budget.
Ideally a strong familiarity with operational methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or ISO 9001.
Experience managing QA, procurement, and high-growth production operations.
